Parents - would you like to know how best to prepare your child for a career in the Digital Age? Come to the next LEAP meeting on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 to hear how LCPS is incorporating science, technology, engineering, art, music and math (STEAM) into core curriculum and specialized academies. Nearly every job is becoming more digital, shifting the skills that today's students will need to access every rung of the future labor market, concludes a new report from the Brookings Institute. The report comes amid considerable attention to the ways technology is reshaping the economy and labor market. The shifts have major implications for K-12 schools, as Education Week explored in-depth in a recent special report on "Schools and the Future of Work."
